eBay finally has an official application for Windows 8. If you use eBay frequently and have a Windows 8 machine, the official eBay app for Windows 8 will make you a happy camper, for the most part. In this first release, you'll get access to your eBay 'Watch List,' items you're currently bidding on, and 'Daily Deals.' The interface follows that of all Metro app with its flat and colorful presentation. Performance of the app is quick and loading up products takes fractions of a second . Unfortunately, eBay decided to rush this application out the door and relies heavily on the browser. If you want to check your eBay page, you'll have to jump out of the app and into a browser. This happens much too frequently, even when you just want to view a product page.
One great feature of this app is that you will get push notifications of auctions that are editing and other eBay alerts.
eBay really rushed this app out and you will be spending more time within a browser than the eBay app. You might as well just browse eBay from the web browser.
